The commitment to a "conflict mineral free" chain

The minerals extraction is a complex issue, linked to political and social implications that cannot be underestimated. In some areas of the planet, the management of mineral resources is at the center of real armed conflicts. When raw materials come from the Democratic Republic of the Congo and neighboring countries, all suppliers risk being complicit in human rights violations in the extraction of minerals, in their treatment and trade.

Motor Power Company asks for guarantees from its suppliers, in the name of its attention to humanitarian issues. Since 2015, it has been committed to identifying and eliminating raw materials produced in these countries, in order to have the widest visibility on the supply chain. The companies of the chain are asked to confirm, under their own responsibility, that the components supplied to Motor Power Company do not come from the aforementioned areas. Over time, many suppliers of our network have declared in a transparent and spontaneous way that they do not procure "Conflict minerals".
The attention to this issue is experiencing a growing interest in the world, both in the USA, active since 2010, and in Europe, which is about to make the declaration mandatory, as early as next year.
